One of the new generation of moisture meters, the concept behind the Maxiligno was to develop a moisture meter that was so easy to use, it did not require an instruction manual. Lignomat succeeded. This unit will accurately measure the moisture content of both wet and dry wood. The specially designed probe comes with three sets of pins for measuring at depths of 25mm, 35mm and 50mm to suit the thickness of the timber.

For greater accuracy, this unit can be set for 28 different species of wood and 15 different density groups allowing the precise testing of over 250 different woods. The meter will detect between 6-75% moisture and the reading can be further corrected by taking into account the temperature of the wood. A large panel LCD screen is easy to read and displays the wood species/ type, temperature and moisture content and is backlit to make it easier to read in poor light.

This unit requires one 9V battery on which it can take around 3, 000 readings. Weighing only 190g, this moisture meter is highly portable and ideal for use in saw mills and timber yards where bulk and large pieces of lumber need to be tested.
